I did some research into various aphrodisiac qualities in food and came up with this menu for Valentine’s day. Now I can’t make any promises, but I know that it will be a fun and delicious departure from what we usually do here. We will be open from 5:00 to 9:00.
Here’s what’s on the menu:
Starters-choose one. Comes with a glass of sparkling wine
Shrimp cocktail
Oysters on the half shell
artichoke bisque
Entrees- Comes with a dinner or Caesar salad
Red wine and rosemary braised lamb shank
OR Mushroom stuffed beef tenderloin filet
with caramelized shallot mashed potatoes
or
Seared duck breast with cherry port sauce
and creamy polenta with gorgonzola
both served with asparagus
Choice of dessert
Tiramisu
Walnut stuffed figs with rose syrup and creme fraiche
Dark chocolate cheesecake chocolate mousse
Raspberry Rhubarb cobbler
$35 per person-does not include gratuity or other beverages.
Please call to make reservations–seating is limited

We are looking forward to showing the artistic work of Mike Alexander of Missoula in the next couple of weeks. His photographs capture natural forms in breathtaking display of color and light. He has an enormous body of work, and this showing will focus on forms of nature. I hope we can get Mike back to display his other works, they are so varied and I am sure you will seeing enjoy them.
Lots of folks ask me about some of the other “art” in the restaurant. The large painting in the display case is a portait of my Great, Great Grand mother, and the child on her lap is my Great Uncle Erwin Suennen. There are several pictures of my grand parents in the restaurant. The dog in the dress is just silly, and is thankfully of no relation to me.
